MD
Physiology is a 3 year full-time Post Grauduate Physiology course.
Eligibility to which is completed MBBS an equivalent degree with minimum
aggregate of 55% of marks from a recognized university. Many colleges
offer MD Physiology course in India. Every college has their own eligibility
criteria, admission process, and fees structure. The government, private, and
deemed colleges offer this course.
This
course explores the studies of normal biological function. This course also
provides the basic understanding of abnormal function in human disease and for
treating those diseases through translational research and developing new
methods.
Admission
to MD Physiology is based on merit-list or entrance-based. Most of the
colleges select students based on the marks obtained in their MBBS degree or an
equivalent degree examination for course admission. Some reputed colleges
conduct entrance exams for this course admission. Students who are selected for
entrance exam should attend the personal interview conducted by the college.

Physiology course covers human anatomy and physiology includes basic
biochemistry, anatomical terminologies, cells and tissues, muscular, skeletal,
endocrine, nervous, cardiovascular, urinary, immune, digestive, respiratory,
and reproductive systems. In this course, students learn about common human
disease processes. They also learn non-science majors and allied-health
subjects.
In
this course, students will learn to develop an understanding of the function
and structure of the key systems of the human body. This course also includes
some laboratory components like dissection, anatomical studies using
microscopy, and study of physiological concepts through experimentation. In
this study, some major topics covered are bones and joints, skin, blood
vessels, brain, internal organs, and spinal cords.
Eligibility
Candidates
who have completed MBBS or an equivalent degree from a recognized university
are eligible for MD Physiology course. Candidates who have 55% of marks in MBBS
degree or an equivalent degree are also eligible. The percentage may vary from
one college to another. Eligible candidates may apply for this course through
