With
a humble beginning in the year 1979, as 'Elite Aarogya Bhavan, today Elite
Mission Hospital has grown to a full – fledged Super specialty Hospital with a
galaxy of distinguished consultants in all specialities and advanced modern
technologies & capable of catering to the health care needs of our society.
This is the first hospital to get ISO 9001 certificate in Thrissur and recently
got accredited by NABH.
Started
in the year 2011, Elite College of Nursing, a unit of Elite Mission Hospital is
affiliated to Kerala university of Health Sciences, recognized by Indian
Nursing Council & Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council. It conducts 4 year
B.Sc nursing course with an annual intake of 40 students. Nursing is a dynamic
profession undergoing change every moment with newer scientific advances.
Professionalism is in turn gaining more emphasis as nursing career roles are
expanding. This rationalizes the futuristic picture of the noble profession. The
college has its own 6 storied building with adequate infrastructural facilities
for academic & residential college has fully equipped Laboratories, Library
and Internet facility for students.
The
College of Nursing, Elite Mission Hospital is established for maintaining the
highest standards of professional nursing education and training, encouraging
the generation of knowledge through research and helping to evolve holistic
policies and plans for a healthy globe. We offer four year BSc Nursing
programme. A commitment to excellence in teaching, research, service and
leadership is the essence of our programme. Our faculty is committed to promote
students ethical development, critical thinking, responsible practice and
attitude of scholarship and motivation for lifelong learning. Nursing is a
dynamic profession undergoing change every moment with newer scientific

Rooms & Laboratories
The
college has well furnished class rooms, equipped with modern institutional
aids.
All laboratories are equipped with mannequins, simulators, necessary articles
for produce demonstration models specimens etc.
Library
with Internet Facility
Large
& spacious library with a seating capacity of 200 students, enriched with
latest edition medical and nursing books, national and international journals,
reference materials, periodicals etc help the students to expand their
knowledge. The students are rendered guidance by a qualified librarian.

multipurpose hall with seating capacity of more than 250 students with
facilities for conducting various educational and cultural programmes is one of
the attractions of our college.

Elite
Mission Hospital is equipped with all departments for the effective and
efficient clinical experience rendered for the students. For Advanced Nursing
Practices in Oncology, CTVS & Mental Health we are affiliated to specialty
Hospitals. Govt. CHCs / PHCs are being utilized for Community Health Nursing
practices.

PTA
PTA
meetings are conducted every 3 months. Parents are given opportunity to discuss
about the progress of their wards. Other matters related to the welfare of the
students are also discussed.
SNA
The
students are given ample opportunities to develop their talents in
co-curricular activities. Students Nurses Association serves as a platform for
them to express their sports, arts, cultural and literary talents. Competitions
are held at unit, zonal and state level and students used to bag prizes. The
students celebrate festivals like Onam, X'mas etc in a colourful manner.
Continuing
Nursing Education
Journal
club is arranged on a monthly basis & presentations are conducted by the
faculty regularly. The faculty also undergoes regular CNE & Quality
improvement programme in other institutions to update themselves with the
latest trends in the field.
