We
take pride for being one of the colleges of its kind to offer B.Sc. Nursing
Degree Course. Our focus is on overall development of an individual geared
towards addressing the healthy changes emerging from the existing health issues
of the 21st Century in tune with the National Health Policies and Programmes.
We offer the opportunities to utilize most of the time for learning and thereby
building competence in the act of nursing. Our institution aims at developing
good value system in students to face challenges of the dynamic world.
Philosophy
Nursing
education is a dynamic process and it responds to current and future demand of
people in an ever changing health care delivery system. It should be flexible
in its approach to the teaching learning needs of the students and maintaining
high standards of performance. We the management and faculty believe that the
students will learn with proper direction, motivation, critical thinking and
dedication to work according to demanding current health care system. The
faculties also believe that the students will be able to teach, do researches
and solve complicated professional and personal problems of nursing profession.
Mission
& Vision
The
faculty of SP Fort College of Nursing upholds the mission and vision of SP Fort
Hospital to which the college of nursing is attached. Through an approved programme of study based
on prescribed syllabus, the faculty is committed to prepare students for a nursing
degree eligible for licensure as registered nurses. The college urges the
students to search for new horizon of knowledge and scientific ways to discover
the real needs of the humanity through research and extensive education. The
institution envisages to provide the most suitable and desirable environment
for the students to develop confidence, competence and compassion in nursing and,
prepare the students for the career placements around the globe. The
institution aims to prepare students for the pressing demands of today and
tomorrow keeping in mind the need to shape and mould a professionally competent
nursing generation loyal to the highest ideals.
OBJECTIVES

apply knowledge from physical, biological and behavioral Sciences, medicines
including alternative systems and nursing in providing care to individuals,
families and communities.

demonstrate critical thinking skills in formulating decisions on all situations
in order to provide quality health care.

provide the preventive, promotive and restorative health services in tune with
the National Health policies and programmes.

practise the framework of code of ethics and professional conducts and
desirable standards of practice combined to the legal boundaries.

demonstrate skills in teaching individuals, and groups in clinical or community
health settings.

conduct need based research studies in various settings and utilize the
research findings to improve the quality of care.
