B.Sc. Geography is a 3-year undergraduate course in the field of Geography, which is the science that involves the study of the Earth and its many lands, features, inhabitants, and phenomena, besides map and geographical imagery-interpretation.
Geography is the science of studying land features, its inhabitants and other related phenomena. In this course, students get to learn about all the factors of Earth and its land distribution, research about areas and regions, type of lands, earth science and much more.
B.Sc. Geography course extends foundational knowledge in human geogrpahy, economic geography, physical geography, practical knowledge of maps and scales. Students are provided with a fair share of theotrical and practical knowedge of geaography as a whole.
Candidates wishing to apply for B.Sc. Geography course needs to have completed the Higher Secondary (10+2) education in any discipline or equivalent qualification, from a recognized educational Board, and with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Candidates awaiting their 10+2 or Diploma results may also apply for the course.
Most institutes offering the course admit students based on the merit obtained at the 10+2 level, however, some select candidates based on their performance in a relevant entrance test. Some institutes conduct their own entrance tests for offering admission to B.Sc. Geography course. Admission process generally varies across colleges.
