the traditional medical system of India meaning ayur (life) and veda
(knowledge). It is about 5,000 years old and is based on the notion of
primordial energy, which is central to the maintenance of health. With a steep
rise in the number of people interested in Ayurvedic healing in the West as
well as in India, the ayurvedic spa industry has started to grow exponentially.
