MBA Business Analytics is a 2-year post-graduate program. The basic eligibility criteria for getting admission in the course is a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from any recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 45% marks in case of SC/ ST candidates.

Business Analytics is used by Companies to data-driven decision-making. Simply it’s a study of data through statistical and operations analysis, the formation of predictive models, applications used for optimizing techniques, etc.

The course comprises of Computer simulation, optimization, statistics, decision analysis, artificial intelligence, data mining and visualization, predictive modeling, marketing, supply chain, applications in finance and many more.

Students enrolled in the course are taught to:

*Data Analytics Basics, Applied Statistics, Data Visualization

*Statistical Communication, Legal Aspects of Business

*Industry Applications of Analytics, Data Cleaning, Normalization and Data Mining

*Spreadsheet Modelling and Analysis, Query Languages

Business Analytics is used in industries like financial services, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, gas & oil, social media, gaming, e-commerce, sports, etc.

There are 2 types of MBA Business Analytics Courses that are offered by the colleges:

1. *Exclusive MBA Programme
IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, LBSIM Delhi, Great Lakes Institute of Management offer PGDM/MBA in Business Analytics

2.* Specialized Course 
IIM Lucknow, SPJIMR Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, XLRI Jamshedpur offer MBA in Business Analytics as either specialization, separate certificate or diploma course. In the second year of the programme, students can choose an MBA in Business Analytics as a specialized course.
