MPhil Chemistry (Master of Philosophy in Chemistry) is a postgraduate academic research programme of 2 years duration. Candidates from any stream like Humanities, Commerce, Science, Law, Teaching etc. can pursue an MPhil Chemistry course. This course is designed primarily for teachers, researchers, industrialists and post graduate students who intend to pursue higher studies in chemistry. 

Overview

Master of Philosophy or MPhil Chemistry  course helps students to study fundamental chemical and physical properties and principles of their applications and transformations of the materials.

MPhil Chemistry  program provides opportunities to share and disseminate research findings and innovations through seminars, conferences and publications in reputed journals.

Candidates who have a keen interest and want to gain more knowledge about the Chemistry subject pursue MPhil Chemistry course after their post graduation.Students develop research skills which will help motivate professionals related to this field while studying this course.

 Eligibility

The minimum eligibility is that the candidate must obtain 55% of marks in their Master’s degree:

Candidates who have completed Masters degree in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry from a recognized university are eligible for MPhil Chemistry  course. 

The aggregate score may vary from one college/university to another. Eligible candidates may apply for this course through online or offline mode depending upon the college/university. There is no upper age limit specification for MPhil Chemistry  course Admission.

Admission Process

Admission procedure for the MPhil Chemistry is based on merit or entrance based.  

Some colleges/Universities have a specific entrance exam for granting admission and some of them get admitted on the basis of merit. Candidates have to qualify in the entrance exam conducted by the university/college for admission procedure.

Personal interview and counselling are usually in the next procedures. Once the candidate has qualified for admission, the final step is to submit the course fee and then join the desired college or institute.For the online process, candidates have to apply online on the college’s website and then fill all the required details. 

They need to wait for the merit list and then submit its mentioned course fee. For the offline mode, candidates need to visit the college’s campus for the offline application form and follow the required procedures.
