MPT or Master
of Physiotherapy is a course that deals with the study of physical therapy for
joints related issues. It is a 2 year full-time professional degree. MPT lays
more emphasis on the techniques and methods used for physiotherapy including
both modern techniques and the natural ones.
The minimum
eligibility required to pursue this course is aggregate 50% score in BPT from a
recognized board or university. The qualifying percentage may vary from
institute to institute. To pursue this course, you might have to appear for
entrance exams too like IPU CET, NEET PG and alike. MPT
subjects include study of Anatomy and Physiology of Nervous and Cardiovascular
systems, Motor Development, Biomechanics of tissues and alike.

Process
To get
admission in a MPT course you need to either wait for the cutoff list released
by the colleges/universities or you need to appear for the entrance exams.
Mostly, the admissions in this course are based on entrance exams, only few
collges offer this on the basis of merit.

Few colleges
do conduct their own entrance exams to offer admission in this course. In case

colleges and those with proper documents and eligibility will be selected based
on their merit.

To pursue MPT
from a reputed and recognized college or university, one must meet the basic
eligibility criteria for admission given below:
Minimum 50%
score in Bachelor’s degree from a recognised board or university in the same
field i.e Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
A 6 month
mandatory internship in the same field from a trusted organization.
If you are
applying for a particular university or college admission then, you might have
to appear for a college/university based entrance exam. Students having NEET PG
scores are exempted from appearing for college level entrance tests.
